The Heart-Pounding World of Badminton: Kay Kay Menon’s ‘Love-All’ Hits Theatres
Actor Kay Kay Menon is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Love-All.’ Expressing his enthusiasm about the project, Menon told ANI, “This film revolves around a middle-class family and delves into the intricate father-son relationship. Badminton takes center stage in this movie and is portrayed in an authentic manner, with the participation of national and international players.”
He explained the significance of the film’s title, saying, “The term ‘Love All’ is commonly used at the start of any racket sport when both teams have a score of zero-zero. The referee announces ‘love all, play.’ I chose this title because it symbolizes the essence of sports, which I believe should be a part of everyone’s life.”
Speaking about the film’s relevance to his own experiences as a father, Menon emphasized his commitment to staying true to the script. He clarified, “In reel life, I may portray negative characters at times, but that doesn’t reflect my real-life personality. As an artist, it’s my responsibility to faithfully portray the script’s demands.”
Menon also shared updates on his upcoming projects, revealing, “We will commence shooting for the next season of ‘Special Ops’ very soon.”

Director Sudhanshu Sharma also discussed the film and its social impact. He stated, “Art truly fulfills its purpose when it brings social issues to the forefront for the audience. Our goal is to create a unique film that conveys important messages related to sports to our viewers worldwide.”
Sharma highlighted the innovative casting approach used in the film, saying, “Instead of traditional actors, we decided to cast real players. This approach presented challenges as we wondered how athletes would perform in front of the camera. However, after rigorous year-long workshops that included both acting and sports training, the players delivered exceptional performances.”
He added, “The natural and realistic portrayals by the players even impressed industry veteran Mahesh Bhatt, who marveled at their skill in the sport. Given the film’s scale and the use of actual players on a grand sports ground, we felt it deserved a theatrical release.”
The film ‘Love-All’ is an emotional father-son story set against the backdrop of badminton. Alongside Kay Kay Menon, the cast includes Swastika Mukherjee, Sriswara, Sumit Arora, Ark Jain, Deep Rambhiya, Atul Srivastava, Robin Das, Alam, and Majel Vyas in pivotal roles.
Sudhanshu Sharma’s ‘Love-All’ is set to hit theaters on August 25, with releases in six Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla, and Odia.
